Lot: This is a medium sized park. The lots are gravel based and relatively level. Lots are pull through and back-in. The park has mature trees, a small lake, but is poorly maintained.
Amenities: Electric – 30 and 50 amp, Water – Yes, Sewer – Yes, TV – Yes, Internet – Yes
Other Conveniences: Bathrooms, Laundry, Convenience Store
Other Inconveniences: No Fenced in Dog Walk Area, No Playground for kids, No Showers
Positives: Price. Near fairgrounds, and Buffalo Bill Cody Ranch State Park.
Negatives: The website is very close to false advertising. Every page shows people fishing on a lake or a beach with a kayak. We were here a week and never saw anyone fishing and saw no beach as advertised. I actually laughed when I read “Abundant wildlife including beaver, mink, turkey, duck, and deer.” We now know this park is in an industrial area next door to the largest train yard in the world (see it here). There is absolutely no grass; the place is completely packed sand and gravel. The Park is on the north side of town far from Interstate 80.
The Park has many full-time folks that seem to have been here for years. If you must stay here, plan for an overnight and move on. This was one of the worst RV Parks in which we have ever stayed. My comment to Angela was “I think we just pulled into a scene from Sons of Anarchy.”
