Lot: This is a medium sized park. The lots are hard sand based and relatively level. All lots are back in. The park has mature trees and abuts beautiful lake McConaughy (Almost every camper I saw here had a boat or access to a boat). This is a very pretty park.
Amenities: Electric – 30 and 50 amp, Water – Yes, Sewer – Yes, TV – No, Internet – No
Other Conveniences: Playground for Kids, Showers, Laundry
Other Inconveniences: No Fenced-In Dog Walk Area
Positives: This park is on lake McConaughy with a boat launch. There are playgrounds for kids but almost every child I saw here was carrying a fishing pole. There are many mature trees to block the sun if you want to sit out and read a book. This is a nice get-away place.
Negatives: It is a long way from the nearest town if you don’t bring everything with you. The rate especially for the holiday weekends is pretty high but you do have the lake to enjoy. Some of the lots are pretty tight because they share water and electrical.
This park is geared for a weekend visit. There are only a few lots that offer sewer so you are pretty much water and electric only which gives you 3-4 days unless you go to the dump site and stretch your stay to a week. If you like the water either to swim in, boat on, or just look at, this would be a great place to visit.
