Rate: You have to go through Reserve America to get your reservation set, but the rate is $20 per night and a $5 reservation fee.
Lot: This is a medium sized state park with a small RV Park in it. The lots are gravel based and relatively level. All lots are back-in.
Amenities: Electric – 30 and 50 amp, Water – faucets are available to fill your fresh water but no full hook-up, Sewer – No, but dump station is available, TV – No, Internet – No
Other Conveniences: Showers, Playground for kids, Museum, Fishing, Boating, Hiking and Biking Trails
Other Inconveniences: No Dog Walk Area, No Laundry
Positives: This is a State Park; mature trees abound. The park is adjacent to the Ohio River and the town of Metropolis. Being in a park, it is relatively quiet. Even though you are in a park setting, you are very near eating, gas and shopping venues. Metropolis also hosts a casino on the river about a mile from the park. The rate is very reasonable.
Negatives: Other than the electric, you are pretty much boondocking.
This is my hometown, so I enjoyed staying here because I could visit my grandchildren. My unbiased view is this is a nice quiet park that would be nice to visit for a weekend or a week.
