Huntington/Fox Fire KOA
290 Fox Fire Rd.
Milton, WV 25541
Rate: Normally KOA rates are higher than other Camp sites and getting a Rate schedule from KOA seemingly takes an act of congress. You have to go to their Reservations section and put in how long you are going to stay and in what kind of lot (back in, pull through, etc.) you are going to stay. Since we were only there for a day, the rate we paid may be different than what you would pay. I suggest you go to their website and put in what type site you want and see what comes up. I really don’t like how KOA does this but it’s done this way at every KOA Site.
This is a medium sized lot. There are pull through and back in lots. All lots are relatively level and gravel based. Some of the lots are a bit tight.
Amenities: Electric – 30 and 50 amp, Water – Yes, Sewer – Yes, TV – Yes, Internet – Yes but weak
Other Conveniences: Laundry, Showers, Playground for Kids, Dog Walk Area, Catch and release fishing pond, Swimming
Other Inconveniences: None
Positives: Close to the interstate. Near town of Milton, so restaurants, gas, and shopping is nearby. On site store was excellent.
Negatives: The lot set-up was strange. We pulled into a Site that was long, but were told that we would only be able to use half of the lot because behind our camper was our neighbor’s front yard and behind our neighbor is our front yard. It was strange.
We were only here overnight, but if you could live with the strange RV parking it would be a good place to stay for a weekend, or a week.
