Rates:
Lots: About half the lots are back in lots the other half are pull through. All lots are gravel based and the staff grades the gravel to level when a renter leaves. This is a good-size park and growing. Many trees and bushes have been planted but have not yet achieved maturity (there’s not much shade in the new, larger section). The park is well laid out and will be rather pretty when the trees grow.

The triangle at the top is the old part of the park. The rectangle at the bottom is the new part (and where most of the RVs are).
Amenities: Water – Yes, Electric – Yes (30 and 50), Sewer – Yes, TV – Yes (but limited channels), Internet – Yes (but spotty during peak hours).
Other Conveniences: Boat rentals, Hiking trails, Fishing, Playground for kids, and Food Concessions, Showers, Laundry, Fenced in Dog Walk, Dog Bathing Area, Swimming Area, Two Hot Tubs, Games at Pavilion – Also, they recycle: separate your cans, bottles, paper, & cardboard, and they pick it up to be recycled.
Other Inconveniences: None
Positives: The price: The rate is excellent for the amenities and conveniences the park offers. Location. This park is located relatively near Tallahassee, Gainesville, and Ocala. It’s a day trip to St. Augustine. There are a number of state parks in the surrounding area. This park seems designed for snowbirds (folks who will live here for 3-4 months in the winter), but there are plenty of sites for overnight, weekend, or weekly use. Along with the fact some stay months comes Bingo on Friday night, Karaoke and Trivia on Saturday night, and other activities during the holidays. For such a large park, it is relatively quiet.
Negatives: Humidity and bugs are a problem; that’s northern Florida, though, so there’s not much that can be done about that. The ground is packed sand and you tend to get sand on everything unless you continually clean (RV, Car, Carpet, etc.). There’s a small grocery in nearby Mayo, FL but for any major shopping the town of Live Oak is a 30-minute one-way drive.
