Lot: This is a mid-sized park in a beautiful area. 5 miles from Pickwick Lake, and 15 miles from Shiloh Battlefield, There are numerous opportunities of things to do and see. You are out in the country; the nearest Interstate is around 50 miles from the park. About a third of the lots are pull through, and all are gravel surfaced. The mid-sized lots are spaced fairly well and provide a comfortable outdoor area to relax.
Amenities: Up to 50 amp – Yes, Water – Yes, Sewer – Yes, TV – Cable, WiFi – Yes
Positives: Location, near a lake and a historic battlefield provides opportunities of things to do. Five stars out of five on amenities. The pool is definitely a plus, and there is free live entertainment holidays during the summer. Quiet, no drama park. Small camp store in office, and laundry on site. Dogs are welcome and loved. Great Good Sam rating. The owners are extremely friendly and strive to make your stay as pleasant as possible.
Negatives: Location, not near an interstate – may hinder progression north/south, but Hwy 64 is a good east/west route. No fenced-in dog run (walk dog on leash but can’t be off to run around) No bike trail and the main road (Hwy 128) runs in front of the park, limiting ability to ride or walk outside park area.
NOTE: Angela and I stayed here for over a year while I was on contract. We would not have stayed that long if this park wasn’t the best in the area.
