If you’ve read other posts, you know that both Jim and I were away from the RV almost all day this past Friday. We left an empty bird feeder. I’d planned to fill it the day before, but when I went out to remove the old tape holding on the lid before filling it, I discovered the Green Acres’ Vandalism Squirrel (GAVS) gang had been attempting to chew through the lid of the feeder.
Since I needed to think about how to address this issue, I did not refill it at the time. Once home again on Friday, I thought it time to put feed in the feeder as the sweet song birds were sitting on top of it looking hungry.
I was shocked at what I found. The angry squirrels had continued the attack on the feeder during our absence, rendering it mostly useless as they had succeeded in making holes all the way through the lid, chewing along the ridges on which the birds are to perch, and cracking the plastic sides.

Squirrels have cracked the plastic side of feeder and chewed along the perch area on both sides above.
It seems a new metal bird feeder must be found; the Squirrel Gang has gone too far! I’m wondering to whom I should report this criminal activity by the squirrels, but in the mean time, it is war on the Squirrel Gang!
