If you want to read about the trip we took to come here, check out this blog post
Gulf State Park
22050 Campground Road
Gulf Shores, AL 36542
Reservations – 800-252-7275
Website – http://www.alapark.com/gulfstate/
Rates: $450 – 600 “on season” depending if lot is on water or not.
Lots: Spacious, most are separated by trees or a section of grass. Almost 500 lots including back-in, pull through, pull in – pull outs, and tent camping.
Positives: This is one of the best camping areas that I have seen so far. It is a long walk, or a short bike ride, from the beaches of the Gulf. The lot sizes and shapes are distinctly set with camper comfort and privacy in mind. The buildings are modern and well kept. There are walking trails, tennis courts, and a number of social opportunities. Angela and I will stay here sometime in the future.
Negatives: Most of the activities are for teens or older, if you have small children you have to watch around water, you might want to ensure you are alert with them or rethink this park.
